Palomar LUX 1540 Fractional Laser

Palomar developed andpatented Fractional Photothermolysis to create a revolutionary treatment: soft tissue coagulation and non-ablative skin resurfacing with high efficacy and no downtime.

The Palomar LUX 1540 Fractional Laser Handpiece delivers light in an array of high precision microbeams. These microbeams create narrow, deep columns of tissue coagulation that penetrate well below the epidermis and into the dermis, while sparing the tissue surrounding the columns from damage.

Deep Penetration for Best Results

The Palomar LUX 1540 microbeams penetrate deeper (up to 1 mm) than other devises. These deep columns of coagulated tissue initiate a natural healing process that accelerates the formation of new, healthy tissue to fill in the damaged treatment zones; the deeper the columns, the more new tissue. Coagulated collagen and cellular debris is expelled as skin is resurfaced. Throughout the process, the integrity of the top layer of skin is maintained, which protects the tissue from infection as it heals.

High Efficacy, No Downtime

The Palomar LUX 1540 offers greater energy per microbeam than any competing device. With only two or three passes, the handpiece achieves a high density of high-powered, deep penetrating microbeams for the most effective deep corrections and long-term dermal remodeling obtainable. In addition the LUX 1540 delivers uniform microbeam penetration, a consistency that can not be matched by systems that use a scanning approach.

Speed and Convenience

The Palomar LUX 1540 does NOT require topical anesthesia, dye application, or an elaborate cooling process, freeing the doctor up to treat with all his/her attention directed to the treatment area.

Safety and Comfort

The Palomar LUX 1540 protects the skin by delivering microbeams in one short pulse at a time with simultaneous active contact cooling. LUX 1540 treatments are significantly more comfortable than systems that deliver beams over longer periods of time.

Palomar LUX 2940 Fractional Laser

New fractional ablative lasers have recently been developed that provide the benefits of fractional treatments (less down time and reduced complications) with ablative skin resurfacings benefits (better wrinkle removal and facial rejuvenation) offering the best of both worlds.

Palomar's fractional ablative skin resurfacing is a single treatment procedure offering three modalities: short pulse for more ablation, long pulse for adjustable thermal damage, and a dual pulse for a combination of both. The 2940's advanced thermal capabilities allow the doctor to tailor the level of ablation and coagulation based on the patient's needs and desires.

These newer fractional ablative lasers remove tissue in the micro treatment zone instead of just heating the dermis.

The benefit of the 2940 fractional ablative laser treatments is that a greater amount of wrinkled and sun damaged skin can be removed. There is some minor increase in recovery time with redness for around 5-6 days.
